Has anyone taken them? Are they difficult? Any advice, suggestions?? TIA

my advice is dont study and dont overthink the questions. i passed them all first time doing that....

If you think too much on the questions for the LAST you will drive yourself bonkers and walk out of there dizzy!! The ATS-W was the easier one of them all!

I passed them no problem - you really cant study for them - its all pretty much common sense - if you are a good teacher and understand the concept of teaching and what kids need, you will do fine....

I totally agree....the ATS-W was the easiest. You can't really study for these tests...I didn't and I past on the 1st shot for all of them.

Responded on BHB...But I wanted to add..I studied very little for LAST and ATS-W....just download the study guides from their website to get familiar with the format and essays

I totally agree....the ATS-W was the easiest. You can't really study for these tests...I didn't and I past on the 1st shot for all of them.

Honestly, if you have half a brain you'll pass!!! ;)they are soooo easy... you'll be fine! :)
you can go on the state website and download a sample just so you can see how they're laid out and the format....

I had no problem & passed on the first try. The LAST I took after only 1 semester in education classes....don't overthink the q's & allow yourself a certain amount of time for the essay. The ATS-W wasn't bad. Good luck.

very easy! i agree about not overthinking the questions. they are meant to be very general, common sense questions, so go with your gut on each answer.

Yea, I actually just brought the study guide..and Im noticing its a lot of common sense..but if you try to exam the question too much you get the answer wrong..grr..I tend to over analyze...

those were the easiest of the test that you take, don't over think the question, i passed the first time on both..............

I tookthe LAST and got a near perfect score, without any ED credits and without really studying.
it's all basic knowledge.
I took some goodd advice and din't take them both on the same day. Even thought it was easy, it's really long and at the end of the exam I was wiped out. i could not imagine sitting for another 4 hours

I am a total worrywort AND nerd so I studied for these a lot b/c I took them with maybe one ed. class under my belt. I got a high score on both and agree that I probably overstudied..I will echo everyone's rec's to become familiar with the question format..esp. the essay part. I remember they break it down for you..they just want you to write it in a certain way....so learn that. A few of the multiple choice questions I remember having a hard time with but the same ones seem to show up all the itme..so again, just figure out what they want and you should be good!
