NWR: LI realtors

Off topic, but does anyone know a good realtor in LI? We're looking to rent, not buy, in Eastern Nassau/Western Suffolk. Thanks in advance.

In case you didn't know, most realtors charge between 2-3 months rent on top of a deposit. They make their money through you and not whomever is renting. I looked at a few places a while ago but mostly in Suffolk.

I recommend you just looking in the Pennysaver or Newsday. They usually list houses/condos/apartments for rent FH and I used apartments.com to find our apartment.

If you really need a realtor I'm pretty sure that Prudential does some rentals. You might want to call around otherwise. A lot of the agencies do both sales and rentals.

yeah, I'd try to hunt w/o the realtor too... becuase of the 1-2 mo rent fee. Think about it, that fee is the equivalent of paying an extra 8% or 16% rent for a whole year
we got a great place just by driving around and looking at complexes in the area we wanted until we saw a sign on a door...
