Hey Gals, Can anyone recommend a good restaurant in Port Jeff or surrounding area? DH and I are heading out to the Hyatt in Hauppauge (where we stayed on our wedding night in 07) for a little Valentine's weekend getaway. We'd like to make dinner reservations and would appreciate your suggestions! We're from Jersey and now live in PA - so we're not very familiar with LI Restaurants.

Just thought I'd add - if you know of any gourmet restaurants that use produce from local organic farms (aka Farm-to-Table) can you please post those too?

Pasta Pasta is really good. I've also heard great things about Ruvo East...but havent been there

It's not THAT far from Hauppauge, but it isn't that close either....but they definately have what you are looking for.....food

Thanks so much for your suggestion! That is exactly what I'm looking for! I did find a farm-to-table restaurant in Port Jeff called The Fifth Season and made reservations for Valentine's Day dinner there, but I'm going to look into Grey Horse Tavern as well - maybe we'll do brunch at Grey Horse!
We'll be on the Island for a couple days so maybe we'll get to check out some of these other suggestions!

I was going to suggest Grey Horse. They do tons of local and organic stuff and they have an amazing brunch!

Bliss has become my new favorite restaurant. We now go there twice a month!
