NWR: Loestrin

NWR: Loestrin

I'm supposed to start Loestrin on Sunday. Due to another medical conditions, I have to go on BCP if I want to have kids in the future (I only get my period every 3-4 months and it needs to be regulated).

I'm VERY worried because the only other time I was on BC I had a really bad reaction to it (Orthro Tricyclin).

Anyone who's on Loestrin- can you tell me any side effects you had? Also, did you gain weight when you went on it?

Thanks!!

I take Loestrin, and haven't really had any side effects. Or at least nothing different than all of the other pills I took. I guess you could say I'm much more moody, and my 'drive' is definitely lacking.

But I didn't gain any weight on it......I'm sure that's also because I've been doing WW as long as I've been on it. I gained weight when I first went on the pill years and years ago.

I'm on Loestrin 24 (I think there are other ones? like maybe a 27?)

I def have mood swings and headaches and when I'm about to get my period I get EXHAUSTED.

But your period is seriously like 1 day long (if that).

I think I gained weight? Not sure if it was only b/c of the BC.

I was on it for awhile, but then after two months, I stopped getting my period. I went six months without having it and honestly that kind of worried me so I went off of it. This was just my experience and obviously everyone is different.

im on loestrin 24. haven't gotten my period in years but that doesn't bother me. it's very common with the pill. no side effects or weight gain for me.

I took Loestrin 24 for a couple of months and stopped taking it. It made me moody, bloated, didnt give me shortened periods either! I hate dit!

My favorite was ortho trycylin lo. I had a really good experience with it! BUT everybody reacts differently! Give it a shot!

I was on it for a while, no weight gain but lots of spotting. My periods were only a day or two every month though.

I just finished my second month. I've had some breakthrough bleeding, headaches, and feel bloated right around my period, but no other big SE's.

i hate loestrin24. my doctor switched me from yaz to this and i loathe it. this is my fourth month and when i go back next month for my six month pap i'm making her take me off of it. it makes me a raging bitoch, i've gotten breakthrough every month, and i just all around don't feel 'great' on it. it *****.

oh and it gives me headaches. the girls seem ok today and i haven't noticed anything except for around that time when they get sore and i also get terrible cramps. all that on top of no drive = worse bc everrrrrrr

no weight gain tho and i get my period every month even tho it's very short

i'm on it too and wish i could go back to ortho_tri but that stopped working for me.

i'm the complete opposite from everyone with this pill. period every month for 5 days and i actually have it again now after having it 2 weeks ago.

no cramps though and no acne which is a plus!
