NWR-Long Island Railroad-Need Info please!

Did anyone hear of a problem last night around rush hour with the Ronkonkoma line? Specifically Between Ronkomkoma and Hicksville?

I just heard there was an accident in Syosset on the rails. Nothing about Ronkonkama though. Is everything ok?

Yes, a woman was struck and killed by a train in Bethpage.

They pretty much just said that in the Daily News, that and it was the second accident in two days (the one in Syosset obviously being the first).

I know.. Its sickening, To think the woman that died yesterday, her brother saw the whole accident- that must be sooo tough.

Her brother probably dropped her off to get the train and she crossed? The gates are down, the lights are flashing...what the ????

that's awful...I hear the Wyandanch station has a lot of pedestrian accidents too because people run across the tracks to try and catch their trains.

Yeah - I pass they station every morning and afternoon to get to my job - I always pass it at the time the train is coming and I cringe everytime I see people running as the lights are coming on....Just leave alittle earlier, expect delays then you wouldnt have to rush and chance anything..

I lost 4 freinds to train inncidents before the end of 11th grade

2 by accident and 2 on purpose

I cringe when I here the train whistle

I work 5 minutes away from the Bethpage LIRR and any time I drive by it I cringe too. Even when I'm stopped to let the train go through and I'm the first car, I'm always nervous that a car is going to rear end me and push me into the train.
