my vote is for DH and my favorite restaurant - a bit on the pricey side, but definately worth every penny -

Petrossian on the corner of 57th and 7th.

We celebrate all our major milestones there. We actually just had brunch there on Sunday to celebrate the 2 year anniversary of our first date (on 1/4). We also have a resevation in February to celebrate the one year anniversary of our engagement.

It's not the MOST romantic restaurant out there, however it is really nice and the food is very good. Bond45

I went to Carmine's once and it did seem more family style than romantic though the food is incredible. Another restaurant in that area that I love that might be a little more romantic is Brasserie 8 1/2 on West 57th : Brasserie 8 1/2

Tabla
(sexy but sophisticated feel, amazing food (American dishes with Indian flair), all around fantastic and a great 'special occasion place.)
