NWR - Lounges/Martini Bars in queens

anybody know of any in queens?? i am thinking astoria would have a few.

anybody here of Cavo? i heard its huge...is it more a restaurant or a bar or both??

Cavo is real nice...it has a lounge section inside with couches, candles and all that...theres also a restaurant and a cafe section...they have a big outside garden. They also have a bar area too

Yeah the place is beautiful, when you go to the back to their outside garden its HUGE and its like WOW you dont even feel like you're in the city, it has a waterfall and a bunch of other things...Hold on ill get the site for you so you can see it and look at their menu too.

yeah so now he can't complain about going hahaha...Anytime Hope you have a great time, its a real nice place and the food and drinks are good...Ive never had it but everyone raves about the chocolate martini, its not like regular chocolate martini's its all white with chocolate syrup, i think the white is white chocolate or something like that, and like i said before the crepes mmmmm now im craving them hahaha

I have also been to Cavo a few times. It is very nice. I have gone there for dinner and I have also gone there with friends for drinks. The front bar area can get really packed...if you can find a table in the outside garden area....the bar area isn't as packed.

yeah the weekends are crazy in there...Haven't been there on a weekday in years so hopefully on a weekday its not bad. Oh wait im not sure which day shes planning on going, maybe it is a weekend. On weekends theres even a line to get in there

Cavo is beautiful. And they dont act like theyre a NYC lounge club like some other places in Astoria. We went there for FH's birthday in June after a lounge called Island (by Kaufman theater) gave some of my friends a hard time to get it. (Dont go there by the way, the door guy thinks hes working a Manhattan spot)

Anyway, I went off on a tangent. Cavo is a gorgeous space. Although, I didnt enjoy the house music. But Im not a fan of house music so thats just my preference. Have fun!

really they did that at island? when we went there was a HUGE line but they let us right in. I actually liked Island alot, im just surprised they acted like that, there was more than 1 guy so maybe one of them was a jerk. I am surprised they wouldn't let you in, that is weird.

oh wait you were with a bunch of guys that makes sense...when we went the line was HUGe and it was mostly guys...some guys had even offered us money to get in with us lol we said no...when i went it was just girls so thats why

Actually, they didnt give anyone a problem but my latin and black friends. They even let a bunch of my white guy friends in all at once but once my darker skinned friends came, there was a problem. They were dressed in button downs and shoes too so it wasnt their clothing. And the guy to girl ratio was even. We got there when it was empty too. It looked like a really cool place and I was disappointed they acted like that. We even were buying bottles...so I didnt get it. I cursed the guy at the door out (who was obviously coked up out of his mind) and left with my whole group of people to Cavo.

Oh and what pissed me off even more was that when we asked the guy why he wasnt letting them in, his response was 'Cant do it, cant do it' And thats all he would say. He had no answer for me...Im getting angry just thinking about that douchebag...

oh thats different then, that is real messed up. Sorry that happened. There were alot of spanish people the night i went, and one of the girls i was with was spanish, there was only 3 of us.

thanks girls.. being that there is only a few more weeks of summer left.. i want to live it up !

ugh... sometimes i feel like we are turning into an old married couple and we aren't even married yet !!
