Im thinking its time for me to bite the bullet and join a gym! I dont want to work out with the boys so Lucille Roberts sounds good.
Has anyone joined recently? What were the prices like? Fees to join and how much per month??

I go the one in Westbury- I have been a member there for about 5 years-- I usually buy the pay ahead package- I think it was a little of $300 for two years, if you pay monthly, I think its like $20

I GO TO THE ONE IN MASSAPEQUA. I THINK RIGHT NOW IT'S 299 FOR 2 YEARS, I'M NOT SURE HOW MUCH IT IS MONTHLY USUALLY 20 OR LESS IF THERE IS PROMOTION GOING ON.

I have joined a lot of gyms and this is the cheapest one I found. If the schedule works for you, I would suggest it. You don't get much of a gym, but the classes are good and it is very cheap.

i agree. it is cheap, but then again there isnt much of a gym- i used to go there for the classes only

I must say ... I used to work out at Lucille and while it was nice since it was all girls, the staff was horrible and not at all cs oriented. The billing was usually messed up in some way as well. Just be careful because once you join you cant cancel your memebership unless you have a doctors letter with a legitimate reason for you not being able to workout or your contract is up. If your up for a renewal, they automatically renew you without asking you first, this happend to me and I was unaware until I realized that I was still paying and they never called to confirm the new year with me.

i wouldnt join lucille....i like working out with ladies only also, but they have basically no equipment....the classes are really good though, that is the only plus. i use to go to the one in rockville centre....very nice & clean & the staff was friendly, but if u are looking for a variety of equipment, or even a pool lucille wouldnt be the right gym.

I agree, the one I used to go too had like one machine of everything. So all the ladies would be on line waiting for the abs machine and it would be so annoying trying to work out with these women looking at you and giving you dirty looks cause you are taking to long! lol
