Does anyone know anything about the Lynbrook area?
FH and I fell in looooove with a co-op there but I don't know too much about the south shore. All I know is the building is close to a bunch of bars we go to in Rockville Centre.
Good/bad/find someplace else?

Hey, if it is walking distance to all those RVC bars, its an excellent choice! Buy now lol!
Its a good area. I do not know anything about the schools or anything like that. FH and I were checking out condos in the area.

Oh true... it's Lynbrook school district but it's only a 1 bedroom, so we (hopefully!) wouldn't stay there forever.

Re: NWR - Lynbrook?
Actually is a nice area. There isnt very much bad to say. Its a middle class area with nice people & close to so many things. Yes Lynbrook School District is good but be careful as to where the borders are because then some lynbrook kids go to Malvern or VS South. Which really are nto the best. GOOD LUCK!

Born and raised in Lynbrook!!!! Its a GREAT town....we have our own police and fire dept......i didnt go to school there b/c I was zoned for Valley Stream but I am now a teacher at the High School and I have to say its really a great district. Its like one big family. The property and school taxes are a bit high but theres lots of resources for you. The schools has lots of technology some really great programs...there isnt a lot of shopping/restaurants in the area but RVC is 5 mins away which has TONS! I know the school district is ranked in the top 1/3 of all US schools, and they are pretty big into sports.....mostly soccer and lacrosse.
HTH!
