NWR: MAC or Sephora?

Both MAC and Sephora will do your makeup if you buy $50 worth of products from them. I'm not sure which to go to. Has anyone gotten their makeup done at either store?

I'm a fan of MAC at Roosevelt field...they're so talented! A lot of the girls freelance too.

I've never been one for fancy schmantz make up, but I'm interested to know the answer to this as well. I usually stick with my cover girl, or NYC necessities but I know a lot of people that spend well in to the hundreds of dollars on mac and sephora.

I've never gotten my makeup done at either one, but I do love Sephora's products! I feel like you can't go wrong with either one. I've had friends who had their makeup done at MAC and looked absolutely gorgeous.

I've seen MAC a lot & they often put A LOT of make up on girls. Like so much that you can see their make up before you can see their clothes. Honestly, I feel like they make the girls look like clowns. But that's only been the ones I have seen. I'm sure there are girls that are very talented that work there as well.

I currently have a MAC obsession, so I say MAC. Just specify that you want a natural look and don't want too much make up or they sometimes can get carried away lol

mac!!! all the way without a doubt. actually go to bloomingdales, the mac section. in roosevelt field my girl adriana works there and is amazing. she did me and my girls makeup back in May just to go out for the night. if you get eyelashes you pay for those and have to buy some products. I spent like over $100 but I'm obsessed. my girl spent only $47.

I've had my makeup done at Sephora while the guy was very nice most of the people there are sales people and maybe a few real makeup artists. Mac is usually all freelance makeup artists. I loved my makeup much more when done at at mac in blooms.

also if anyone shops at Sephora a lot anytime you think you'll spend $50 call and make an appt or just walk in if it's not prom season for them to do your makeup :) I wish I had known at the end you just buy a $50 card I would have gotten my makeup done anytime I went shopping just for fun lol.

My best friend has been an employee at Sephora for over 5 years. I think sephora has better products. MAC is more commercial makeup for ad's but if you want a heavy makeup job with a flawless look go MAC because I also think most MAC employees are more skilled in application of makeup because they require cosmetology license to work there. Although Sephora employees go through extensive training on their products. I think it all depends on the look you are going for :) good luck!

MAC definitly. i had my makeup done for my friends wedding and it looked flawless and lasted all day!!

I have to agree with a few of the girls above. MAC is great, but they wayyyy overdo the makeup. I'm not hating on MAC, one of my best friends (who is also a BM) worked for MAC and she knows just how I feel about the over application of makeup. I haven't seen work done by a Sephora makeup artist, so I can't make a comparison, but I know I would want a more natural look on my wedding day!
