My sister and I are planning a surprise 60th bday party for my mom this year, and we are considering this venue for a variety of reasons (available on the night we want, pricing is reasonable, we have the entire venue to ourselves).
I was there a few times during my high school/college years when it was a bar open to the public. As I understand it they only do private parties there now.
So, my question is: How is the food? Has anyone been recently for any event? Is it trashy, or OK for an older crowd provided we decorate accordingly? I would rather go someplace else if it is not up to par.

we had a private party there for my sisters graduation maybe 6 years ago- it was really nice!! We loved it- had a great time. We set up some tables and chairs for eating and then they had the couch section (not sure if it was still there) but we were very happy!! good luck! hth!

Ive been there very often and my best friend had her engagement party there. Its great! Very nice and the food was very good. If I am correct, its the same catering as Caseys in RVC. I can check for you though but im pretty sure they are both owned by the same person.

You are correct. At least, as of like 2 years ago this was true. (An ex co-worker of mine also tended bar at both places.)

My sister just booked her sister in laws engagement party there...
The place is great. and also my close friend had her engagement party there... same as RPMG26599.. who would be one of my best friends as well. lol
