NWR: Makeup

What brand of makeup do you ladies use? I have been using Bare Minerals for the last 5 or so years, but I am thinking about switching. I don't feel like I get enough coverage with it anymore.

For foundation I use NARS Firming Foundation! I love it. I used to use Bare Minerals but I felt like my skin was becoming too dry.

Makeup Forever!!! They sell it at Sephora. They give you free samples to test it out before you buy.

Honestly for foundation i use the cheap liquid oil-free covergirl! and i like it better than some of the expensive ones i use. The only thing i splurge on is mac eye liner/mascara

Re: NWR: Makeup

I always get nervous using a new foundation because I feel like I'm going to get streaks. I've been thinking of going and getting my makeup done and trying something new, just don't know who to go to. I need a change!

the mac stores do it for free if you purchase make up from them.

I love MAC make up, it's definitely a little pricey but so worth it IMO.

Make Up Forever is really good and Nars is great as well. Laura Mercier is also good.

My Mom has been going to this woman for yearsssss, she's in Planivew, works out of a salon and she mixes colors to match your skin and gives you a decent size bottle for $35.00. If you want her info let me know, this way you don't spend $40 on a bunch of foundations that don't match your color and you waste your money.

For things like foundation and bronzer, I only use Mac bc the makeup artists are so good at helping you find whats right for your skin.

I have some non-mac eye makeup but thats really what I stick with. Except for Mascara... Maybelline waterproof greatlash in blackest black. Tried and true its the best mascara I use, can't go wrong, and inexpensive.

Re: NWR: Makeup

coverup - covergirl (the little tube one)
powder - neutrogena
mascara - maybelline (the purple tube)
bronzer - sephora

i use the same products EVERY day but they work and I get great coverage!

For foundation try the Red Door Spa in Garden City - they take a picture of you and have a machine that customizes foundation to your exact skin tone - I don't remember how much it costs but it is totally worth it and will not cause you to break out.

For powder I use Physicians Formula - sold at CVS / drug stores / I think maybe Wal-mart/Target? Its fairly inexpensive and I think it works well - its all mineral makeup so its not going to clog your pores

Mascara - either Maybelline full and soft (silver tube) or Bobbi Brown

Lips - anything and everything. La Mer, Chanel, Burts Bees, L'Occtaine, Biggelows (from B&BW), Mac, Lancome etc...

Eyes - besides mascara I really don't do much else - I don't like the way eye liner looks on me and any eye shadow is usually one of those samples you get if you buy lancome makeup
