I don't know for sure, but I would think so.....I am a court reporter, so my nails and hands take a constant pounding. Almost three weeks later and they look brand new still!!

Who is your manicurist? I need a new one. My gel nails separate from the nail bed in parts and I hate that. Does yours use OPI or another brand?

The place I go to is in Hauppauge, called Angel Tips, across from the firehouse. It costs $30. After each coat, you put your nails under a UV light for about two minutes. They do about three coats, and when you are done, you don't even need to wait to dry!

My mom goes to Bocu in Commack - I think she pays $45 for hers. She just likes going to that particular salon, no difference between my manicure and hers besides the price!

There's another place in the Old Street Pub shopping center in Smithtown across from Napper Tandy's. They advertised a free pedicure when you get a gel mani. I've never been, but for that deal, I would try it.!
