NWR: Maybe surgery?

My son has been complaining of his ear. He says it itches I thought he was just waxy since he recently got over an ear infection. Well I was sitting with him today and he goes look mom theres blood on my fingers and I look and he had a little bit of blood on his fingers I go what happened and he said he bit his finger I thought maybe he bit his nail or something. So I put a bandaid on it. A few mintues later I see him itch his ear and pull his finger out with blood on it. He has scratched his ear before but when I went to clean out the blood there was A LOT so I freaked and rushed him to the doctor. He keeps getting ear infections Like alllllll the time he has several a year and I feel like every other month or more he has an infection. I have to take him to an ear specialist to see if he needs tubes which the doctor thinks he most likely will. I know its not a major surgey but he will still need to go under anasethia and that scares me plus I don't want him to be in pain My poor little guy.

awwww i am so sorry about your little boy ...Ear infections are horrible and im sorry he might have to get surgery, the positive thing is that he won't have to suffer with ear aches anymore. Hope it all goes well, and will pray that he gets well soon

Aww . I am sorry to hear about his ear troubles but he will be better off with the tubes. My sister had them as a kid and actually had to get them again recently. My thoughts are with him and you.

awww sorry to hear that. just know that it is a common procedure on little kids. Im sure he will be fine. let us know what happens.

i was supposed to get the tubes but at the last minute the doctor said i didnt need them but i know plenty of kids have had the procedure and its not too bad

FH had no fewer than 8 surgeries on his ears growing up, he'll be fine! Kids are so resilient.

Aww poor baby...like a lot of people are saying the tubes are common in kids...I hope he feels better soon!!

Aww Im so sorry to hear that......both of my boys hava had tubes.......it always seemed to be much harder on me then them....because we are moms we worry..lol.....they wake up a little cranky and then are fine..............If you need to talk let me know!!!! Im sure he will be fine !!! I feel bad so much stress for you on top of the baby coming.....I wish I could help!!!
