Most say he was an icon, some say otherwise. Regardless he has touched each one of our lives on way or another.
Share memories.
I remember watching my first music video on MTV, and it was Michael Jackson. I cant' tell you how many times i've performed Thriller and Beat it. My doggie does this weird backwards walking thing and FH and i say he's doing the moonwalk.
Oh, back in the 90's i remembered when they premiered his video Black and White around 8pm on friday. I think it was on TJIF after Full House or something. My entire family watched it. This is so surreal.

Re: NWR: Memories of MJ
I remember watching the 'Jackson 5' cartoon on Saturday mornings in the 70's
I remember watching him on the Motown 25 Anniversary Special and how electrifying his performance was. Seeing him do the 'moonwalk' before we even knew what that was.
I remember making my uncle take me and my cousin to Wanamakers to stand on the ticketron line, at 4 AM so we could buy tickets to the 'Victory' tour (LOL) We were so far up in Giants Stadium we couldnt see anything, but we were so excited to be there.
I remember taking pictures holding our tickets, while we were wearing our white gloves!!
I remember when MJ filmed a music video at a private school in my town and we heard about it and we went to the school to try and see him. We waited outside his trailer for what seemed like an eternity until he came out with bodyguards and started running to the set. We all ran after him, and I remember saying, 'I have to touch him', so I dove to touch his back!!!

Re: NWR: Memories of MJ
I used to dance around to 'the way you mkae me feel' with the little boy who's Mom used to babysit me. We would play the guy and girl roll and dance and jump on his bed
My brother and I (same age, step-brother actually) were OBSESSED with Thriller and would make my Dad and his mom play it over and over on family trips.
I also remember the debut for 'black or white' watching it with my whole family thinking how awesome it was. I couldn't believe Macully Culkin (sp) was in it and rapping on the steps outside that house. 'I'm not gonna spend my life being a color'... lol loved that part!
More recenlty my college friends and I would pre-game all the time to 80's and really what is the 80's without MJ.
he will forever be missed

Re: NWR: Memories of MJ
I remember all the dances we did at my dance studio to so many songs like Jam, Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Heal the World, Ease on down the road, Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', Thriller, Man in The Miror....gosh writting this. I'm getting sad about all the great memories to his music.
I honestly can't remember my earliest memory. My parents were one of the last people to get cable so I can't say I remember watching his videos when I was a child. I remember I had a sticker book and my mom bought me Michael Jackson stickers.. they were those puffy plastic ones. I might still have the book somewhere.

Re: NWR: Memories of MJ
MJ was my first music obsession. I had the puffy stickers on my bedroom door. Made my mom play Thriller on the record player everyday and get so scared when Thriller was on because of Vincent Price laughing Id hide under the dinning room table. I remember watching all his music videos on MTV when they played videos thats the MJ I will always remember I had such a crush on him.
