nwr: MICHAEL'S rant!!! grrrr

Ok so a few weeks ago i go to Michaels to buy bags of fake snow to add to the tables around the centerpieces - after the fact I realized oops not a good idea because the snow is going to get into everyones food!

Stupid me!

Anyway, its my fault but i accidentally threw out the receipt.... so I go to Michaels last night thinking they would at least give me a store credit and... nothing!

They wont take ANYYYYYYYYY merchandise back without a receipt!

GRRRRR.... so now im stuck with 8 bags of fake snow! anyone have any ideas what i can do with it lol

I can use one bag for the table seating cards.... ugh!

Help!

I can't believe they wouldn't take it back. I would try another Michael's before you throw in the towel. One store might be more strict about returns than the next (I've had it happen when trying to return clothes w/o receipt.)

I started working there again and I get 40% discount!!! they have that stupid snow everywhere

ive returned things to michaels without a receipt they give you store credit and the sale price of the item.............i dnt know where you live but try the oceanside michaels

Maybe it wasn't even the store, maybe you just got the wrong cashier!

I too have returned things to Michaels w/o a receipt. But I got 50% less then it's current price.

maybe you can make a little centerpiece for your card table? like fill a glass vase w/ the snow and fill it with ornaments, that would be cute ps. i, too have returned things w/o a receipt there that is very odd unless the bags you purchased are the kinds you can open and seal w/o tearing the bag in which case they may have a policy against it lol HTH!
