I didn't get my period this month and Ive taken 3 preg tests and they all came up not preggers. This is the first time ive skipped a period. Do you think I need to go to a doctor? Is this normal? I mean I lost 30 lbs but I got my period last month and the month before. I don't know if it's from weight loss.
Needs advice!! TIA

Could be your BC. I would make an appt with the dr just to make sure its nothing serious.

It could easily be the weight loss, a weight loss of that much can definitely change your cycle around. It can't hurt to talk to a doctor though, when this happened to me it was the first sign that I had polycystic ovaries.

I was 14 days late before I started taking BC and was freaking out ... I called my MD and scheduled a blood pregnancy test for that day (because they are more accurate than OTC tests - which I had three negatives on) and wouldn't you know it, that day I got my period.
Call your GYN and she will likely tell you to come in for a blood test ... that way you will know either way.

Re: NWR: might be TMI
Have you been really stressed lately? I've skipped a month before due to stress. It could also be the weight loss, that definitely screws around with your hormones. Best to go to the doc to make sure.
Good luck!!

Re: NWR: might be TMI
i stopped bc for medical reasons and my period was 3 weeks late last month but finally came... it could be a lot of different reasons... weight change, diet, a cold

Don't think that. Stress is a major factor also. My ast period was 9/21, but after a million home pregnancy tests, I am not preg. Try to relax a little and you'll see you'll get your period.

Re: NWR: might be TMI
could be stress or your recent weight loss (congrats by the way!)
i think after 10 days of being late that an at home prego test would be accurate enough, but def make an apt with your doc to put your mind at ease.

ITA at home test are super sencitive. if you would be prego it would show. but talk to your doc

I am sure your weight loss has a huge affect on this. Try not to freak out, because I bet this freaking out is holding off Aunt Flow even more. I am sure everything will turn out fine

Re: NWR: might be TMI
i JUST went through that- i had never ever skipped a period in my life and ive been on the pill since i was in high school (i just turned 29). after leaving frantic messages and emails w my gyn dr and taking 2 tests (which came up neg) my dr eventually took her sweet arse time and got back to me. my period had been lighter and lighter over time- and apparently that the pill i was on for such an extended period of time you can just spot or miss it completely. 'nothing to worry about'
thanks for all the concern lady. then i promptly switched drs.

I would give it a couple days and if no period still I would do another prego test. If that ones still negative def call the doctor.

Weight loss and stress have a huge impact on your cycle. If you're really unsure, I would go see the doctor.
