NWR-Migraines

Hiiii

Does anyone else get migraines? My doctor told me that i get 'period migraines' but i noticed that have been getting them more frequent and the medication he gave me for them makes me soooo sick.

if get migraines...what do you take for them...bc i cant take the medicine and i cant not take anything...

I get them and I get the 'period migrains' too liek a week b4 im due..then i get them due to tension and stress but i dont take anything. Sleep is the only thing that helps. OOOh and put some ice on the back of ur head when it meats ur neck.. that helps too...

i take motrin .... the 500mg ones ... they are prescribed ... they are OK - nothing works wonders for me

def. do the ice on the back of the neck

i take maxalt mlt.. tabs you put under your tongue taste minty and work WONDERS i have a very sensitive stomach too....
all my immediate female fam memebr (mom, gm, sis) get the same thing.. migraine family.. lucky me...
so most of its hereditary.. but my vision prescription being like 20 off brought them on super stronger as well

my doctor actually told me to just take plain ibuprofen for migraines... as long as I take it at the first signs, instead of waiting until they get really intense, that works for me.

wow im sorry to hear that! i loove it..
how bout the excedrine migrain melt ones.? thats just excedrine with caffine (carffine supposedly helps alleviate them for some reason)

have you asked him for alternative medicines?

I get migraines and so far my onlu trigger i figured out is diet soda especially the diet colas. Upon my first symptom like blurry vision or decrease in periphial vision I take Execedrine Migrain it works really well but I must catch it otherwise I will get the full works of a migraine.

My migraines are the worst. Im praying to God that I don't get one for my wedding. Im on Imitrix it is pretty good but I get sick for like an hour also and then Im fine. I guess it is the medicine working its way through my body. I was thinking of switchin to maxalt but Im hearing its the same effect.
Excedrin works for me sometime. But see if you can get some migraine meds from doctor. I heard topomax is good also but you have to take it on a daily basis.

omg i get Chronic migranes,

they are terribel,, sometimes i need vicodin,, & that messes with my stomach,, I make mike hold my head tight & i pass out,, thats my remedy

I second this. I get migraines often.. and I get nausea. Not fun. Usually I try to sleep them away and sometimes unfortunately I 'Get sick' but after that...I feel better.

DITTO... it's my savior.... never got sick from it either
