NWR: mini-vent (hmph)

This is just a mini-vent. Last night I got home and was going to make some pasta for FH and I. I went to look for my pasta pot and didn't see it. I looked in the dishwasher and noticed it was in there, along with the colander/strainer. I asked FH if he made pasta - he said yes. I was excited b/c FH never cooks. I asked where the leftover pasta was - he said there was none, that he only made enough for himself!!

grrrr! That annoyed me big time b/c whenever I cook I ALWAYS make enough for the two of us. I realize there are bigger issues in the world, but this really bugged me b/c I felt it was thoughtless and selfish and made me wonder why I even bother cooking for him (not that I do it all the time, but when I do, i never make a single serving)

Aww i totally understand...sometimes we have issues like this too..

For instance, we cook our meals for the week on Sundays. I made an entire box of brown rice(SO many servings...)All I needed was a cup of rice for the week...I went to pack mine up and there was none left. I asked where it all was and he said 'Oh, I put it in all my lunches and dinners for the week!' I was so annoyed! I always joke that if we were stranded on a desert island together I would die because he would eat all the food...and he is still so lean! jerk! hahaha

I love it!!!!! that would be us too!

I totally did! I told him how selfish that was and that it really upset me. then i gave him the silent treatment, and you know how men love that. well, sometimes he really does love it, but not this time anyway. This time it was coupled with a guilt trip.

Hey, I'm not saying I'm mature. I did enjoy going to sleep early though and not putting stamps on my RSVP envelopes the way I had planned to.
