NWR - moths!

NWR - moths!

DH and i have a moth infestation lately!!! we come home every day to AT LEAST 15 months in our house ... we kill them all, and the next day, there are 15 more ... weirdest thing is that we don't see any moth-worms (whatever they're called) .... where are they coming from!?

anyone know how we can kill them all for good (that won't kill our parrot)?

moth balls didn't work .... we put moth balls in the bathroom and closed the door ... moths were just chillin' the next day right next to it .... i don't get it!

oh no that sucks! I wouldn't know how to tackle it but so sorry! Could there be a place/hole where they're coming into the house? Is there a light on attracting them?

we have them at my house too... there's nothing you can really do. they get into EVERYTHING.
I wont eat anything thats boxed or bagged, unless its in an air sealed container. you could try putting out fly traps (those sticky string things that hang)

just eliminate the food sources.
anything in the pantry- thoroughly go through and put everyting into air tight containers.
you said you have a parrot? clean the cage DAILY- I'm assuming you have newspaper at the bottom--- change it everyday, even if there's just one turd on it.
and leave its food in a sealed container... give it just what it needs to eat for the day and through out left over.
(I have to do this with my ferret too)

in the winter, when they all die- go through the pantry (I'm assuming thats where they are mostly) and cabinets and check for cracks- thats how they get in.

eta- that pic was kinda huge

they're attracted to the smell- they like food and i'm 99% sure that those fly things are sweet smelling.
