NWR..... Music Download?

What is the best and easiest way to download music from the internet? My friend told me to download WinMX, I did, but now I have no idea how to use it. Thanks!

you downloaded it?

now go to search and put in title or artist (or both) of what you are looking for.

make sure youknow where you set up the music to go (file).
double or right click on the song you want to download, let it finish downloading then listen to the song!

lol wedbabe, not really, Ijust DL on winmx and blubster alot.

sirev--check the file where you set up for the music to DL to.

I just checked the file and only 1 was downloaded. When I try to download a song, the status usually says queued locally and the song never starts downloading. I hope I am explaining myself correctly. Thanks for your help!

you need to pick a song that is available. when searching there should be a part called status/server. pick the ones that say '2 of 4 available' or something like that. it should be green. and i think the lower the bitrate, the faster it will download.

I have used KaZaa. I never have a problem with it and it's very easy. Hope that helps.

NEW ONE THAT'S GREAT!!! And Easy!!! It's called Imesh... in fact my fiance and I just made a 70's mix last night! It's super fast and I really like it... second pick would be Kazaa

I also use morpheous. I don't know if this is true or not, but one day there was a news story on my home page that said Kazaa had some virus spreading throughout their users. I have no idea the validity of it.

this might be a stupid question but here goes anyway!
do you need a burner to do this---or could you just buy blank cds-say from the wiz or something--and download it onto them --through the cd drive?

It's not a virus that KaZaa has, it's another program that was intentionally piggy-backed onto the KaZaa software. Initially it was not activated, but the plan was to activate it at some time in the future (may have happend by now) and it would utilize unused resources from your computer - I think it was a kind of super-server power sharing. When I first heard about it they were saying it was hard to uninstall. If you do a search on Google under KaZaa you should be able to find something about it. I think there were some articles on C-Net or some of the computer magazine sites.
