NWR: my dad

ok so,

my dad is a smoker..has been for as long as i can remember...within the last year or so food randomly gets stuck when he eats... he coughs and coughs until it comes up i guess, and then quits eating because he cant anymore..

it's happened recently again and i was looking up esophagus cancer online, and this is definitely one of the symptoms and smoking is definitely one of the causes...

he's so freaking stubborn and would rather suffer than go see a doctor...there is nothing you can do or say to him to get him to go...his excuse is 'the food just went down the wrong pipe.'

ugh..it just been upsetting me lately..

I am the same way, I rarely if ever go to the doctor... I don't wanna go because all its going to be is bad news LOL....

Yeah its gonna be 'you have to lose weight, cut back on salt, and hear i recommend you go see four other specialists to check on these random things' LoL.....

it may not be cancer...i have a problem swallowing bc of a narrow esophagus..

either way your dad should stop smoking, but don't panic just yet about cancer...it could just be a concidence.
