NWR: My idiot friend...CRAAAAZY UPDATE!!!!!!
One of my best friends was laid off a few months ago and has been picking up different short-term jobs here and there while he's interviewing for a long-term position.
Today his job was with Century 21 (the real estate company, not the clothing store) - and Century 21 was promoting a free concert with Ashanti or something.
So, my friend had to stand outside of Grand Central Station handing out flyers for this concert, all the while he has a balloon strapped to his back that holds 20 pounds of helium! He does his job, hands out all his flyers and then BAM...he's walking down the block and this balloon, which he swears is the size of the home-run apple at Shea (er, Citifield) gets all tangled up in a street sign, and when he goes to untangle it, it just gets worse and then this ENORMOUS balloon just disconnects from the cords on his back and flies away, never to be seen again! He said the last he saw of it, it was heading east and was passing the Chrysler Building....LMFAO!!!!!!!!![]()
So if any of you Long Island chicas see a huge black balloon with the Century 21 logo on one side and 'FREE ASHANTI CONCERT!' on the other, please notify me.![]()

I'm still laughing about this, and he told me about it like half an hour ago.
UPDATE: I just heard from my friend that the balloon ended up flying over Newark Airport overnight and it was SHOT DOWN BY THE FEDS because they didn't know what it was!!! - leave it to my friend to turn their life into a friggin' 'Seinfeld' episode!!!![]()
