Why the hell can't people clean off their cars and SUV's? I don't enjoy driving to work dodging flying sheets of snow and ice. Watching in slow motion at a sheet of ice comes flying at me, as my life flashes before my eyes, wondering if it is going to break through my windshield. If you need to drive an SUV (biggest offenders and I have even yelled at my own sister for this) then don't be a lazy-***, clean off the damn roof! And then those people who refuse to clean the inch of snow, ice and slush off their back windows hoping their defroster will do the job. Last time I checked, defrosters weren't jet powered. And don't give me a look when you cut me off, cause you couldn't see me out of your snow encrusted car, when I give you the finger.
End of rant...sorry I had an interesting ride into work.

i hear you i was drivin to work this morning and there was a guy that didnt clean anything off and as i was driving a whole sheet of ice came flying off and landed in front of my car. I hate ppl that do it. and ill confess ive done it too and not anymore after a couple of years ago.....

i completely agree! i hate when ice comes flying off the cars in front of me. its ridicious. last year when we had the really bad storm on valentines day, i had a guy cut me off (while he was going easily 90 while its snowing and theres ice everywhere) on southern state, and splash a pile of snow/slush from the street right onto my windshield. and then the snow from his car came flying at me and i could not see anything. i thought i was going to die! those people are the ones who end up killing innocent people.

an icecle killed someone outside of my job last year. i will NEVER drive with snow, ice or icecles on my car. too scary

OMG! I KNOW!! The other day I was behind a guy with a huge roof of snow... well.. HIT ME when he picked up speed right into my windshield!!!
They should make a law you cant drive with it on your car...

I read on newsday.com last year that some political figure was trying to pass a law so cops could give tix for not cleaning off your car. If you have never visited the comment part of newsday.com the comments were quite amusing. All these people (probably the same one's who don't clean their cars) complaining about how stupid the law would be.

Haha, good! And right after I posted this, our safety coordinator at work sent out an email about how people need to be aware and clean off their cars.

its so true b/c you never know when that sheet of ice is going to go right through your window and god forbid something happens to another person.

Your pet peeve almost killed a friend of mine and his daughter last winter... Sheet of ice crashed through the front windshield, the ice sheet and glasswent straight into his face and somehow he managed to control and drive his car across three lanes of traffic and off of the parkway to stop and have his daughter call 911 (the girl is 9 years old...) He ended up having to go into surgery ASAP to repair the damage to his face and eyes...and luckily the daughter only had cuts and bruises...
People should really think of the consequences to not cleaning their car properly in the winter...

THat was me yesterday!! I just saw so many sheets of ice coming off cars it was scary! I know someone who last year was driving and ice went through his windshield luckily he was ok but its just scary. And I saw about 10 cars with snow on windows and could not believe it! Some people only did half of the windshield! How do you drive that way!
