NWR: Need help for my school play

For our 3rd grade play, we have decided on doing music and history through the years.

We will have a 'newsroom' set up that will have students 'reporting' on one decade at a time. For instance, who the presidents were, the population, historic events, fads, etc.

Then we are having the kids lipsync and dance to music from that time period. I am going to try to make a medly or pick 1 or 2 songs from each era.

So, I need help picking songs from each era. I would preferably like songs that have a dance made up to go along with them. Please help me think of some songs we can use. TIA

50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's

That's ok, just wanted to make it easy so we don't have to choreograph all those dances.

i like e car wash song too.. you can do some really cute stuff with props for that one

Thank you so much! The date is pushed back to sometime in June. Probably the first or second week. I don't have access to LIW at work, but can FM you when I return home.
