So I am participating in Secret Santa at my job and I got a person that I really dont know anything about I am usually good at giving gifts but I am at a blank with her
The limit is $30.00 I found out through people she has enough bath & body, perfume products I dont really want to get her a gift card because then the whole Secret Santa idea would be just an exchange of $ 30.00 back & forth Lastly she will be going into the Army real soon
I am at a lost
Any suggestions?

Oh wow, I'm usually pretty good at this stuff. When you say going into the army, is she just joining or is she in the reserves and got called up?

I want to say she is in the reserves but unfortunately I am not even sure because no one wants to reveal too much about that

Can you ask people she is friendly with what kind of books she likes to read.
Books are a good option (or you can buy books you think she might like and get a gift receipt).

Is there anyone else u work with that knows her and give u suggestions? Maybe u could do part of it as a giftcard and then get her small gift too?

i got mine a scarf (a pretty one, not functional) from L&T - it was like $45 with a 20% off coupon. they have good stuff and great deals with the coupons

I know you said you didn't want to do a gift certificate but what about one to the movies? I feel like its really not a GC because it is for a spefic thing and you can you can get one of the plastic popcorn holders (they have them BBB) and fill it with popcorn and candy?

A small Swiss Army Knife or multi-tasking tool? If she's in the armed forces, she'll appreciate it.
A framed photo of a scene from NYC (they sell them outside all major museums and all along Rockefeller Center)...would look nice in anyone's place.
A bottle of wine? or something wine related?
A nice manicure case or tracel case for jewelry (I saw both being sold at Bombay & Co. stores which closing and are reduced in price)
