NWR--need help with wording for flowers for someone very ill
My labmate's mom was just diagnosed with lung cancer that has metastisized to the brain. I'm sending flowers from the lab, but don't know what to say on the card. What do you say to someone that is probably terminally ill? I would think that saying 'get well soon' may upset her. I know it would upset me. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I never feel comfortable mentioning prayers just because I'm not religious and not all of my labmates are. Could we just say:
You are in our thoughts during this difficult time

Yes, that's fine...I know what you mean by prayers.

You and your family are in our hearts at this difficult time.

This is what I say because I don't pray. I say 'I'll keep you in my thoughts,' or 'You're in my heart during this time.'

I just sent them and wrote:
XXXX,
You are in our thoughts.
XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX of the XXXX lab.
Something simple and sweet. Here are the flowers I sent. I LOVE them!
