Hey girls! I would like to get a bottle of wine for my boss and co-worker. They love wine, so I feel it would be a great gift, however I am not a big wine drinker so I have NO idea what to get. Can anyone provide suggestions/prices? TIA!

I am wine illiterate, so what I do is go to the liquor store and ask the salesperson 'what's a good wine'?
my selections have never disappointed.

for red wine I always buy a Merlot, that seems to be the wine of choice for red wine folks.
for white I either buy Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay.

If you don't want to spend over $10, I would get Georges Duboeuf's Beaujolais Nouveau. It just came out and is only available this time of year. It's yummy, cheap and limited. Makes a great gift!
'2005 is without a doubt the finest palette of colors I have ever seen in Beaujolais. There is a luxurious beauty that slides in the glass. In the aromas you will find black currant, blueberry, kirsch, violets, black cherry and hints of spices, cocoa, coffee, pepper, liquorice and blackberries. The palate gives the impression of intense concentration, a warm wine, unctuous, exceptional, very fleshy. It is harmonius and voluptuous with flavors of ripe red and black fruits, all held together by supple and elegant tannins, which gives it a lavish expression of a Beaujolais Nouveau of high class. this Beaujolais Nouveau 2005 will write itself in history as one of the finest vintages in the last 50 years!' -George Duboeuf
If not, Sherry Lehman has tons of wines in all price ranges, browse and read up on them.

Definitely cabernet sauvignon - an inexpensive choice would be Blackstone. My favorite is Mondavi. I'm about to have a glass or two tonight....
