NWR-Need hotel ideas in or very close to East Wind..

DH's invitation for his company christmas party came today and it's at the East Wind. They blocked rooms for everyone and I called as soon as I opened the invite and they were already booked solid. We live in Massapequa so it's a hike to drive home from there, we did it last year and it was rough not to mention neither of us could drink so we could drive home. Help!!!

wow that is crazy.....they dont have any other rooms avaliable that havent been blocked? i dont remember there being any hotels right over there...but why dont you try calling east wind and asking them if thye know of others in the area...or do a search on ask.com

No they are booked solid she said and even put me on a waiting list for a room in case someone cancels. When I called she said she had one room left and told me to hold on. She left me on hold forgot I was there and like a jerk I stayed on hold for 15minutes(can you imagine)but I figured if I was gonna get the last room it was worth it. When she finally got back on the phone she acted as though she had just answered the phone and then when I reminded her why she put me on hold she said oh Im sorry we just booked the last room. She put me on hold and gave my room away They also blocked rooms at the Best Western for people but they want more per night then the East Wind and Im not paying that much to stay in a Best Western. The East Wind is unbelievably beautiful.

wow i am sorry..i dont blame you i wouldnt pay much for best western. I know there is a holiday inn that is supposed to be gorgeous in riverhead but i know thats prob a little far
