NWR: need some help!!!

So next tuesday is FH's bday and I bought tickets to Cirque du Soleil I want to surprise him! since its a work day I wanted to take him to dinner right before the show which starts at 8pm. I now realize that I get out of work at 6 and by the time I get to the city it will be around 7pm leaving us no time to go and have a nice dinner. So I thought we could have some snaks in the park where the show will be. But i wanted to do something cute for him and that is to bring him a cup cake since its his bday but I have no idea where to go in the city for a good cupcake!! ANY IDEAS ON WHERE TO GET A YUMMY CUPCAKE??? TIA

There are a few places you can go in the city to get cupcakes: Crumbs, Magniolia bakery, Buttercup bakeshop

just google to see which one is closest to you

i was also going to suggest crumbs or buttercup (magnolia is also good but prob not convenient if you are going to the park)

both crumbs and buttercup have locations near the park:

crumbs 3rd and 78th (upper east) or amsterdam & 75th (upperwest)

buttercup 2nd btw 51st and 52nd (east side) or 72nd btw columbus and amsterdamn (west side)

DEFINATELY CRUMBS!!!! OMG!! I dream about the chocolate covered strawberry one. mmmmmmm.

plus there is more than 1 in the city, so that is good!

yes Randall's island!! yay!! I was going to go next thursday since is our year mark! but i thought it would be nice as a gift for fh so then i switched it for his bday!! (next tuesday) he doesn't know yet!! lol

i am taking my MOH for her bday!! cant wait to hear how it is!! are you driving or taking public transportation? i still havent decided.

Crumbs is by far the best! I used to like Buttercup until I tasted the amazing-ness of the crumbs cupcake. If he likes chocolate you should get the smores or Oreo. They have a penut butter and chocolate one which is amazing (not the reese's one - its more nutty than peanut buttery).

There is one across from my office -- I am an expert on them by now. They also sell an 18 pack of bite-sized cupcakes in a pre-selected assortment. If this is your first time you might want to go with that one!!

hmm.. i might need to stop there on my way home tonight...

lol!!awww oops!! I am driving!! although i have no idea how to get there but I will have to got to their website and find out and also find out about parking fees i'm sure it will cost something! i'll let you know how it goes!
