i have been on birth control for 4 and a half years now. recently i started to notice some breakthrough bleeding. i don't have any health insurance and when i read the side effects it is listed under some thing i should consult my doctor about.
does anyone know anything about this??

Sometimes its an indication that you need a stronger dose. In any event, you should see a dr.
Is there a Planned Parenthood near you. You may want to check it out. I don't think you need insurance to go there but I'm not sure.

This actually happened to me a couple of months ago. After you have been on the same type of birth control for a period of time, your body gets used to it, so you may need to change. Once I switched, the bleeding stopped.
