Is anyone else as obsessive about their weight and body as I am? I mean, im not clinical or anything, but I just wish I could be happy about it. Im a size 4-6 and Ive maintained a nice weight fro over a year. I workout religiously, but no matter what I still cant be satisfied w/ that. Plus, my biggest issue is that I have a BAD stomach condition and WHENEVER I EAT my stomach extends to 3x its normal size- NO JOKE!! I could EASILY pass for a first trimester pregnant woman. So it makes it EXTREMELY difficult to feel good about my body.
Please tell me if you experience this too.

Michellem just from the pictures you've shown us you seriously look great! Were you ever big? could this be why you are so unhappy, afraid to put the weight back on? I hear what you are saying with the stomach condition, I have the same thing. I could eat a fruit and some water and my stomach blows up, it stinks! Did you ever try taking a water pill before going out? I totally understand where you are coming from its very discouraging esp when you are trying to lose weight, but a size 4-6 is a perfect size, and like I said you honestly have a great figure from all the pictures you've posted and you seem like such a sweetheart.

WOW that was such a nice response and it makes me feel so much better. THANK YOU!!
I think the main thing is my stomach condition. It makes me SO miserable and quite honest, SAD Im ALWAYS uncomfortable and bloated and there is always SO MUCH pressure in my stomach. Ive had SO many tests done, tried SO many meds, and there isnt anything that works. Where can i get water pills and what do they do? Oh, no i was never overweight. I did lose about 10 lbs like 3-4 yrs ago, but thats all.

It's an over the counter type water pill that you can get from a reg. drug store. I tried it once b/c like I said i feel so uncomfortable when I go out, it pretty much stops the bloating feeling. I can't really rem. if it worked all that well it was a few months back that i used it, I just rem my friend giving me one b/c she said it worked for her. It's def worth looking into, try it one night and see if you feel a little different. Even if your stomach doesnt go down, at least you wont FEEL so bloated and gross!

I have the same stomach problems. Lots of tests, basically the doctor recommended I take gas pills, I like the CVS brand actually. Helps alot. I hate it when my fiancee touches my stomach after I eat, very self conscious about it as well.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. There are times that i wont eat if i know i have to get ready to go out bc i will be too big for my clothes and SOOO uncomfortable.
Im telling you, i cant continue to live like this. Im so miserable!! Its a daily, DAILY struggle

I do the same thing! If I know we are going out on a Friday night or something, I'll eat a little more at lunch that way i can fit into my clothes
I feel the same way as you do. I watch every bite I take and I am obsessive about going to the gym. No matter what I am NEVER happy with how I look. I want to be smaller, more toned, this and that.
How do the rest of you deal with it? I mean I always thought that this would get better as I got older and was in a stable relationship but it hasn't at all.

I'm just like you. I'm thin and always have been but this is a constant struggle with me. My FH thinks I'm nuts, but it annoys me and makes me very irritated. For example, I went out to dinner on Friday and my stomach swelled so much after, you would have thought I was pregnant, then i just get cranky after and just want to go home. I don't like to be touched or anything until it goes away. I recommended the gas pills and they do work well for me anyways, not always, but its better than nothing. I especially like using them at work b/c I am very uncomfortable sitting behind a desk all day with that uncomfortable feeling. It relieves alot of that pressure feeling. Sure, you burb alot, but I do that alot anyways :)

Michelle-
to you! You are so beautiful both inside and out! I have been struggling with my weight for the past year. I was never fat but I gained 15 pounds this past year. I started a new birth control pill that caused me to gain 8 pounds in 3 weeks. Then I gained 5 more when John got sick. I hated the way I looked and felt. No matter what anyone said, I knew that I had to feel good about myself. So I started WW 10 weeks ago. It has been slow, but I have lost 6.5 pounds in 10 weeks. As hard as it is, try to cut yourself some slack.
I took a water pill a few months ago because I just kept bloating. I felt like my skin was burning and stretching because I was so swollen. I took a water pill that I bought from CVS and it helped. One word of caution, though (and this may be TMI!). The pills I took warn you that your urine may turn blue and mine did! Just be prepared.

Re: NWR: Need to vent
I know how you feel on both issues- though right now I AM actually a little heavier than I like to be, so I have been hitting the gym regularly and trying to cut back on sweets.
I have a really really sensitive stomach. it's getting to the point that I cannot eat any food remotely gaseous without intense pain and bloating. I have had to completely remove certain foods from my diet (BROCCOLI!) and limit foods like cucumbers, grapes and other things.
your stomach may just be sensitive to certain things...and the burping is actually GOOD, it should be helping to relieve the bloating (usually caused by gas)
