Has anyone ever braved Times Square for NYE? If so, how long were you waiting outside? Where did you go to the bathroom?
FH just said we should do that one year and I was like yea OK! Where would I go pee? Plus the fact that I have a circulatory problem so I would probably freeze to death!

We did it our first new years, I will never do it again, but I'm glad that I can say that I did it. We both had to work so we did not get there until 6 pm, so neddless to say we were very far away. They search your bags now, ever since 9/11 but we were able to sneak in some tiny little nips and a small bottle of champagne for the big moment. You can not pee, most stores will not let you. Also I have a circulatory problem too, I just brought tons of hand and feet warmers. It also was one of the warmer years but we totally had on a lot of layers to stay warm. There are so many people that that also creates heat. My only suggestion would be to get a hotel room that you can walk to. Once the ball dropped it became a mad crazy dash to penn station, and the LIRR brags about having trains running every hour, however, they are not running on every line on every hour. If we missed our train we would have had to wait about 4 hours for the next one! Good Luck if you decide to do it, but do a little planning for it! It's cool to say that we did it, but like I said before never again lol! Sorry this was really long!

I went once about 5 years ago....We got there at 4pm & froze our butts off... We didn't go to the bathroom but I think there were port-o-pottys set up! It was soooooooooo boring to stand there and I would never EVER do it again but I feel like it is something everyone should do once in thier lives! When that ball dropped and people were cheering and there was confetti everywhere it was so amazing! It even made me cry a little bit! It was definitely worth the wait!!!

Used to do it every year between 17 and early 20's, but that was before the super-security in a post 9/11 world. It's freezing!!! Bathroom was a huge issue for me. Usually we would try to camp out near a bar or restaurant that would let you in to use it.
Never again is all I can say! Now I like watching the ball drop from the warm inside. However, especially living in NY - I think everyone should do it at least once!

I never did it, and don't think I would ever be able to. Too many people freak me out ... thus I'm not a city gal. Props to you city folk! HAHA. Not being able to drink, pee, and be freezing the whole time just standing there...?? SOOO NOT for me! LOL
