My sister (who found out she was preg with her second the same week FH and I got engaged) just called me and told me she's having a girl. Just what they (and even my nephew) wanted.

YAY, that is sooo exciting. Congrats! I hope my sister has a girl next, too. She's trying to get pregnant right now!

The good thing is now my parents will have a grandson and a granddaughter and they won't need anything from FH and I. I love kids, they just aren't for us.

My sister has 3 girls and a boy. When she got pregnant with the last one, she said, 'I'm TIRED of being the only one reproducing in this family!!!!'
My brother is quite happy with his two dogs and cat and I'm quite happy with my two turtles and fish.
Like you said, I love kids and I spoil everyone's kids to death, but it's totally different being a parent and FH and me learned early on that we enjoy being aunt and uncle better!

FH has a niece and 2 nephews. So between his sister and mine we're covered. We figured we'll be the fun Aunt and Uncle but at the end of the day we'll be fine with the kids going back to their parents! My parents know this and seem ok with it (my Mom even told me I should just go and get my tubes tied already). His parents know and are always making comments about 'oh you might change your mind' and 'Oh when it's time for you to have kids'. Apparently they don't get it when both FH and I say 'we don't want kids'.
