DH & I don't know a single soul at our schools, respectively. It would be nice to meet people, always is, but I don't seek it out and I don't think he cares much either.

Hey thanks for your response. It's nice to know that I'm not alone. I guess it really isnt such a big deal considering I have friends outside of grad school. I dont really think my DH(hes in grad school too) has any friends from school either...just like people he talks to when he has group projects.

I never made any new friends in grad school, well ones who I hang out with outside of school. I mean class friends yeah, people you talk to in class, but that's about it. Once I got out of high school I guess my friend making skills declined lol. I definitely noticed in grad school people really keep to themselves. It's not like you're hanging outside mingling. I know I want to get in class and get out especially when most classes are at night.

Yea I am the same way. I definitely dont want to hang out before or after class...just want to get in and get out and get home to DH lol. I have also noticed that most people keep to themselves and the group that I did notice dont look like they want anyone else in it which is fine.

This has totally been my experience too, which at first I was bummed about. I thought Grad school would open a whole new world of friends for me but it hasn't. It's tough being ad adult and making friends.

I have made a few good friends in grad school (ones that I see both inside and outside of class). I mostly met them through group projects. We worked on projects together and got to know each other little by little and then developed friendships. Maybe if you have group projects you will get to know other classmates and develop friendships with them.

I have made some good friends in grad school. It takes a little time. Does your school have happy hour or other planned events? This is a really good way to meet people.
