Its one of the most amazing light shows I have ever seen. What happened?

Me and FH go ever year. We were very upset that is was cancelled this year. Supposedly they said in past years they would have approximately 70,000 cars and last year it was only 40,000

WOW...I didn't realize that many people went. I think I wioll go to the one in NJ at the PNC Art Center

I didn't realize that many people went either until my FSIL told me that. We were all going to go with her and her kids and then found out it was cancelled. I didn't know there was a light show in NJ. I think I might have to go I'm such a big kid!!

Jones Beach only had 40000 cars last year so they said it wasn't worth it financially for them.
There is also a light show in Bayport. FMIL took her grandson on Friday night and said it was nice. It's only 12 buck!
I went to that show and really liked. I think it was definitely worth the 12 bucks!!

FH and I were making a tradition out of going... but I read that they weren't making enough money to pay for it. $12 was a lot, and there was always a ton of people there, but electricity is expensive and they had to pay all the people that worked there, as well as the vendors like the Reindeer and last year they had the ice skating rink set up...
it stinks, i was really looking forward to going this year.

I read in newsday a few weeks ago there was not enough revenue being generated to keep the show going. I went once, it was really fun!

Oh No!!!! That is soo sad FH and I go EVERY YEAR!! Except last year we felt that thye cut the amont of light in half. They had this new thing where you can get out of your car and see a reindeer...LoL!!!!! FH said he was mad and didn't want to go this year..Lol

I prefered the on at PNC much more than the Jones Beach one. FH and I weren't that impressed the year we went so we haven't gone since.

I know i liked going there to see the lights!!! I went to Holtsville Ecology Site this year, it was very cute, And iam going to the one in Bayport this week.

i know i was so disappointed...but fh and i went to the brookhaven bright lights and although it was not quite as large as jones beach...it had a lot of the same displays...it was nice...it was in holtsville...but called brookhaven bright lights (i think)
