My phone is now in rice lol. Water opened up in my bag and it's ruined. Have to wait to see if it works otherwise I have to go Apple tomorrow after work to get a new phone or attempt to get a new phone. I'm so pissed.

I've had a ton of friends do the rice trick and it's worked every time, just let it sit overnight! good luck

What if it is stolen, then do they cover it? I would just say that if they do bc then they can't see the water damage.

They won't let you claim it stolen without a police report. If you pay insurance on the phone with your provider they should offer to replace it anyway for $200, which beats paying $400 any day. Sorry doll!!!!!

Water damage voids out all Insurance Coverage (I believe this is with every Carrier), if you have Verizon it may be cheaper to Add a line and get the iPhone then at a Discounted Rate rather then the original price they make you pay for replacing it. You then switch the number you have with the new phone (taking over the new phone with your number) You leave the new number hooked to a regular cell phone (dropping the Monthly Internet Package). I hope that came out clear... it's worth looking into. Good Luck!

I go to APple tonight so we will see.
Even if I have to get a new one American Express refunds my momey on the old one so that helps!
