NWR: NYC Teachers

Did you get teacher's choice yet? We were discussing this at PD today. We haven't heard that they are in but online it says they were due on the 14th Friday?

Just wondering

I'm a first year teacher so hopefully I've got this right...

It's the city's way of reimbursing us for classroom supplies you have bought (books, materials, etc.) You save your receipts and write up your purchases and they give you back up to $230.

Oh okay, I understand.

On the island, or atleast my district we get $250 every year to but supplies for our classrooms.

I guess it is just 2 different ways to do it

but if you don't turn in enough receipts, they deduct it from your pay

and you're probably in a good district. my friend works on the island too and got nothing. she hates me right now. =0P
