NWR: NYC Teachers

Was wondering if anyone has taught summer school (elementary)?

Is it worth it???

The pay is good for any grade. It's nice to have an extra couple of thousand!!

Hours aren't too bad.
M-Th
Usually 8-12 (for middle school/hs)

i teach summer school in nyc- i agree the hours are really good for the pay. theres smaller classes but it is what it is- nyc summer school. the kids are NOT good.
if you can **** it up for 4 hours a day, the commute is lighter for summer traffic, and its really good $$$

I am going to apply to be a summer school sub since my vacation falls at the end of summer school

Haven't gotten my email for math yet.... hope I get it!

ughhh I am so not looking forward to working the extra hours but I am looking forward to the paychecks
