NWR (obviously): another name for godmother

i was talking to my friend - im the godmother of his son - recently, and in the baptism card i signed my name as AUNT

he said no this is wrong.

apparently in spanish, there is a special title for godmother....and in phillipino there is a special title too

im kind of a mixed american mutt. and my godparents i called aunt and uncle, even tho they were also godparents

any ideas? just wondering....
