NWR: Oil to Gas?

NWR: Oil to Gas?

The house me and fh bought uses oil and we are thinking of switching to gas. Our oil bills have been very high... So, does anyone know how to switch? Do we have to make sure we're able to even get gas? Are those companies still giving away boilers as promotions for switching?

Any insight into this will be very helpful! Thanks!

MY FH works for an oil company. First off, you need to make sure the town has gas lines. (Im sure they do) but converting even with a new boiler, statistically speaking, is still more expensive than gas.

He explained to me that over the last 13 years on average oil was still cheaper than gas.

However you just have to contact the gas company and discuss with them then contact your oil company and cancel and make sure they do not send another delivery. You will be responsible to pay for it even if you have already converted.

Just some insight.
