Hey, girls, I need your help. Can you give me some gift ideas for a one-year-old for her birthday party? DH and I are clueless because we don't have any nieces or nephews and these friends are the first close friends to have a baby. Thank you!!!!!
Edited to add: can you also give me an idea of how much to spend? These are close friends - the father was a groomsman at our wedding.

A one yr old really won't understand whats going on. Right now just give them clothes. It helps the parents out a lot!

The best gift I ever got for my kids was the Fisher Price Learning Table, $29.99 at Toys R Us.com
My now 2 year old got it for his first birthday and STILL to this day plays with it everyday!
fh cusin is turning 1 also, for his sister we went crazy gave her clothes, toys, and a bond. this was only last year. HIs mom wants us to get him little 'man' clothes like polo's and shorts.
if you go on toysrus.com you could check out whats appropriate for that age range.
I would also agree at this age kids really don't know what they are getting, so i would stick to clothes. thats what i'm gonna do for fh cusin, b/c remember, thats gonna be everyones first reaction. the baby is old enough now lets get him a toy.
