nwr: Online Psychology Courses

im going for my masters at Hofstra, but i am short 9 psychology (intro) classes. they said i can still start as long as i finish these credits within the year. i'm looking to take them online since i work full time AND am going to start one graduate class over the summer.

can anyone recommend a school to take these classes online.. does Nassau offer them online.. ive also heard of Empire State College, anyone use them??

I've heard of Empire State College, but don't know much about them. My company is an advocate of American Intercontinental Univeristy online and University of Phoenix.

the university of texas has them online. not too expensive either. i'm taking two classes through them right now.

ETA: it's about 500/class, though i think intro is cheaper

Go to this link: SLN and click on psychology. It will show all SUNY online Psych courses offered this summer. SUNY Empire is a well known distance based SUNY college. The SUNY online courses are cheaper than other colleges, and all of the colleges are accreditted and credits are transferable.

Have you considered CLEP tests? They are official exams that count as college credits. Tons of colleges accept them and they're only about 80 bucks each. Of course, you have to have knowledge in the subject. You should check out collegeboard.com and click on CLEP.

I am short one class for my masters in counseling so I am taking a class through world university (an online only school). The webpage is www.worldu.org. Probably not the greatest program ever, but it's only like $400 per class!
