NWR: Open School Night

NWR: Open School Night

For those of you who don't have children has of yet; when you do and get to this point you will love this feeling.

My dtr Jayla's (6yrs old) parent/teacher conference was tonight. I met her teacher and he had nothing but praises for her. Mind you she acts the exact opposite at home. (she loves to act) I looked at the teacher as if he had 10 heads when he was talking about her. Mind you leaving out the building they have the kids who are on the honor roll.

Why did I almost fall down the steps when I saw her name on the list? When I arrived home she had the Toys R Us Big Book in hand and said,'

' I circled my choices for you'

thats awesome... im not a parent yet, but i am told that receiving praises about your child is one of the best feelings that one can go through...

i have parent teacher conferences for my kids next week,... i cant wait to see how the parents react to some of the stuff they hear lol.

You are going to get a good laugh at some of the expressions of the parents.

You are going to experience those kids that can get right 'under your skin' But, you are tough, you know how to handle them

awww great news

that is typical! I had a few of my parents in shock that their children are doing so well and are so well behaved because they are driving their parents nuts at home!

So cute about the Toys R Us catalog. I'm a teacher and I usually get the opposite... I tell them your kid doesn't do homework, can't stay still, calls out inappropriately and they look at you like you have ten heads, like 'not my perfect angel.' A lot of the times, once you meet the parents you realize WHY the kid is such a jerk!
