NWR: opinions

Im a NYC teacher... this year and last year we were given this inventory sheet to list all 'chemicals' in our classrooms. We can not use any clorox type sprays to clean tables etc.. in the classroom when students are there (completly understandable)

however, we were told we can not have in our classroom.. (amonst other things)
white out
sharpies
hand sanitizer (meanwhile FHs elem school on LI he works in has them on the wall in every class and room for teachers and students to use)
(and if we do they have to be 'locked' away

how ridiculous..

even better.. i had a water bottle that had iced tea in it (one of those crystal light packets you put into your water bottle) I was told that i would be inviolation if someone came to our school to check up on us.. because i do not have in my bottle what is labeled on it. these rules are so ridiculous. But i can have a thermo cup with no label on it and have coffee or juice in it?

what are your opinions on this

i remember when you used to be able to bring in cupcakes for the class and no one questioned peanutbutter....

the whole thing with the drink is waaaaay off base. It doesnt make any sense to me
