NWR- Orth tri Cyclen

I just started taking this BP last month and have a question- I started it on the first day of my period ( which was a Saturday). On the 19th pill (dark blue) i started my period. It continued for 5 days ( about 3 pills into the green pills). My pack ended on this passed Friday and I started a new pack Saturday however for some reason I feel as if I am getting my period is that normal? My doc isn't in on Mondays so I just want some opinion to hold me over until I speak to the doc... i'm paranoid!! Thanks.. Sorry for so much info early in the morning

when I started it- I started it on the first Sunday AFTER my period had finished- it sounds like you started it during your cycle?

Your gyno probably has a nurse at the office that can speak with you about your concerns, most offices have a nurse or advisor. Or, you might be able to contact your pharmacist. It sometimes takes your body time to adjust to the horomones, so you may be off a little for the first cycle or two. I am on another pill, but I usually get my period after the active pills are finished and I start the inert ones.

talk to your gyno but wedding planning is stressful and can mess you up so whatever may not be normal can be normal now.

Yea, I believe you are supposed to start taking it the first Sunday after your period ends - or at least that's what I was told to do many moons ago. The last week of pills are not necessary, just reminder pills in case you have a hard time remembering to start up a new pack again. Also, there are times in the middle of my cycle that I'll get crampy again - I've been told that ovulation can trigger the same types of uncomfortable feelings as the actual thing. FYI - I have been SOOOO irregular ever since all this wedding CRAP and I was always to the day. So stress can definitely change things up.
