Do you know of any firm hiring? I am really looking to get a job in this field, but everyone wants 5+ years experience. How are you supposed to get experience if noone will hire you?

FH and I just bought a house in Merrick. I was thinking about getting my paralegal certification but so many people said not to, I can get a job without it. But I am having a hard time.

I work at a law firm that may be hiring legal assistants. It's more secretarial work though than paralegal. If you are interested, FM me and I'll send you info.
Just as an FYI, I think all around it's difficult to find a job right now in the legal profession.

I got my paralegal certificate in 2004 and still can't find a decent job. Every place I interview with seems promising but then they never respond to my phone calls and other places want experience. So for now, I'll stay where I am (non-paralegal) and hope that when the time is right, something good will come along. Wish I could help you...Good Luck!
