For the past two months, during my period my ovaries hurt. Normal? Cysts? Something worse?

Re: NWR: Period Question (TMI)
Could be a cyst could be nothing. I would call the doctor. I get a pain in my ovary but it usually when I am ovulating -- doctor said I am just sensitive and can feel it. I would probably get checked just in case.

Re: NWR: Period Question (TMI)
could be a bunch of things---i would ask the dr. about it---they can do an ultrasound to see if you have cysts forming. i get painful cyst ruptures, and that is a PAINFUL feeling. so ask the dr. to check you out to make sure those aren't starting.

It could be stress. I used to not get mine when I was stressed out -- the pill takes care of that now. Hope everything goes ok on Friday.

Jess I go to one in Patchogue but there main office is in Setauket. If that is near you let me know. They have on doc that is strictly GYN so it is easier to get an appointment with her and she doesn't cancel when other people go into labor!

There are a lot more symptoms of PCOS than just a missed period. I was diagnosed with it years ago. Missing your period could just be stress related.
