nwr: personal statement help

i need to write my personal statement for graduate admissions this week... does anyone have any advice and or template of how to write it?

Oh my gosh I'm writing mine tonight!!! I asked some friends and the biggest thing they said was to talk about growth (how your experiences have helped you grow as a person and prepared you for the program and your career plans). I'm going to do that and relate my extracurriculars to the program and say how this has helped me as a leader and I can apply that to this aspect of the program, etc.

Good Luck!! I can't stand writing about myself, this is going to be so hard!!
