(NWR) PET Lovers!!

Hey ladies!! Aside from wedding talk for a bit!

For those of you who are pet lovers like myself, I am seeking your advice and opinions:

Should I neuter my puppy???? He's a 9 month old male maltese puppy and I am having mixed feelings about this procedure :-/

What do you guys think??

If you are not going to breed him I would definetly neuter him. I have 3 male dogs and they are all neutered. The vet told us that it's better for the dogs health because they are less prone to cancer and some other diseases.

Def neuter him. Theres no reason for a non breeder to breed a dog and i mean a real breeder that does it to better the breed, not just to sell puppies.

def neuter in my opinion! in addition to the health benefits, it helps behavioral issues like marking territory or fihts with other male dogs...

both my male dogs were neutured at 6 months and they are happy as clams

ita with the other ladies. Our vet told us that dogs hearts are affected every time you let them go into heat. Definetely neuter.

totally agree with everyone else. IF you're not planning on breeding him; def neuter. They have a risk of cancer (i believe prostate). THe Vet gave us all the pros and cons. It's def a good idea to neuter him. They're only uncomfortable for about a day.

Definitely neuter him- the sooner the better, too! The longer you wait the worse it is for them!

I would definitely neuter him. If you're not planning on breeding him then there's no reason not to.

I have a maltese also.. love her!!!

neuter him!! its the best thing you can do for an animal. It reduces the risk of cancer dramatically & your puppy will live a happier and fuller life

if it were a female i would say aboslutely... but with a male its not as necessary... but its still recommended you dont want him to have any urges to get out and breed...

I was a Vet Tech for 3 years... If you are not planning on breeding I would look into neutering him only because a lot of male dogs are prone to different types of cancer that can actually be avoided if neutered.
